Designed for selected bicycle brake hardware and C-clip release mechanisms, this compact M4 × 5 mm screw is precision made from Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). At only 0.4 g per piece, it provides a lightweight titanium replacement option for compatible brake hardware while maintaining the strength and durability expected from Grade 5 titanium.

The screw is available in 9 finish options, including Gold, Rainbow / Oil Slick, Titanium, Black, Blue, Purple, Green, Candy, and Indigo.

Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V)

S-PARTS works with a civil aerospace metal raw material supply chain in Xi'an and applies long-term material comparison and testing to maintain its titanium material standards.

The selected titanium material has an average tensile strength exceeding 1050 MPa, above the stated industry reference level of 895 MPa.

Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS titanium fasteners offer mechanical performance comparable to 10.9-grade steel components, while weighing approximately half as much as steel.

For this compact M4 × 5 mm screw, the result is a combination of high strength-to-weight performance and an extremely low weight of just 0.4 g per piece.

Precision Forged & CNC Machined

The screw head is formed using S-PARTS custom forging molds under controlled high-temperature processing at approximately 650°C.

To help maintain consistent forming accuracy, each forging mold is limited to no more than 300 uses.

The fastener body is precision machined using CNC equipment, with controlled dimensional tolerances throughout the machining process to achieve clean threads and consistent fit.

PVD Vacuum Nitriding — Gold, Black, Blue, Rainbow / Oil Slick

These finishes use a PVD vacuum nitriding process to form a dense surface coating designed to improve surface hardness and wear resistance while creating a distinctive metallic finish.

Titanium Anodizing — Green, Purple, Candy, Indigo

These finishes use titanium anodizing to form a controlled oxide layer on the titanium surface. The visible colors are produced through the relationship between oxide-layer thickness and light interference rather than conventional dye.

Candy Finish

Due to the characteristics of the coloring process, the Candy finish has a naturally flowing and variable color pattern. Color distribution, gradients, and transitions may vary from piece to piece. Each piece can therefore have its own unique color appearance.

Normal Thread Color Variation

Some screws may show fine white lines or lighter areas around the threaded section. This is a normal visual characteristic that can occur during the finishing process, particularly around threaded surfaces, and does not indicate a product defect.
