Lightweight Grade 5 Titanium

S-PARTS carefully selects Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) through qualified aerospace-grade metal suppliers and subjects the material to long-term laboratory comparison and testing according to S-PARTS quality standards.

The selected titanium alloy has an average tensile strength exceeding 1,050 MPa, significantly above the commonly referenced minimum strength of 895 MPa for this alloy.

Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS Grade 5 titanium fasteners offer mechanical performance comparable to 10.9-grade steel hardware while weighing approximately half as much as steel.

This combination of high strength, low weight, and excellent corrosion resistance makes titanium an ideal material for performance-oriented road bike hardware upgrades.

Precision Hot Forging & CNC Machining

The nut head is formed using an S-PARTS custom hot-forging die at approximately 650°C. To maintain consistent forming precision, each dedicated forging die is used for no more than 300 production cycles.

After hot forging, the component is precision-machined using advanced CNC equipment. Tight dimensional and thread tolerance control helps achieve accurate geometry, clean internal threads, and consistent fit.

The combination of controlled hot forging and precision CNC machining provides a carefully finished titanium pivot nut with reliable dimensional consistency and a refined appearance.

Premium Titanium Surface Finishes

Different colors are produced using different surface treatment processes.

Gold, Rainbow, Black & Blue

These finishes use a PVD vacuum coating process to form a dense protective surface layer. The coating improves surface hardness and resistance to everyday wear and impact while creating a rich, durable finish.

Under normal riding conditions, the finish is resistant to weather exposure, road spray, and everyday use.

Green, Purple, Candy & Indigo

These colors are produced through electrolytic anodizing. Rather than using conventional paint or dye, this process creates a controlled oxide layer on the titanium surface.

The vivid colors are generated by the interaction between oxide-layer thickness and light interference, producing the characteristic color effects of anodized titanium.

Candy Color: Due to the nature of the anodizing process, Candy finishes have a fluid, multi-tone appearance. Color distribution and tonal variation are naturally random, so each piece may have a unique color pattern.

Thread Appearance: Some pieces may show fine white lines or light marks on the threaded section. This is a normal result of the coloring process and does not affect the function or usability of the part.

This product is a pivot nut only. The M6 brake caliper pivot bolt is not included.
