Important Installation Note

The following components must be installed using the original Shimano sealing rings:

• Caliper Body Bolts A

• Caliper Port Plug Bolts

Please retain and reuse the original sealing rings during installation.

Lightweight Without Compromising Strength

This kit is manufactured from Grade 5 titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V), the internationally recognized material designation corresponding to TC4 titanium alloy.

Through long-term material testing and comparison, S-PARTS selects titanium alloy that meets its internal material standards. The titanium used for S-PARTS fasteners has an average tensile strength exceeding 1,050 MPa, compared with an industry reference minimum of 895 MPa.

Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS Grade 5 titanium fasteners offer overall mechanical performance comparable to 10.9-grade steel fasteners while weighing approximately half as much.

The result is an excellent strength-to-weight ratio, making titanium a practical choice for riders looking to reduce weight while upgrading the appearance and hardware of their Shimano road bike.

Precision Forging & CNC Machining

S-PARTS hardware is produced using a combination of hot forging and precision CNC machining.

Selected components are hot-forged using dedicated tooling under approximately 650°C high-temperature processing conditions before precision machining.

To maintain consistent forming accuracy, each stamping die is used for no more than 300 production cycles before replacement.

The fasteners are then precision-machined using high-precision CNC equipment with strict dimensional control throughout the manufacturing process. From thread engagement to final fitment, each component is produced with close attention to machining accuracy and consistency.

Premium Titanium Finishes

Gold, Rainbow, Black & Blue

These finishes use a PVD vacuum nitriding coating process, creating a dense metallic surface layer that improves surface hardness and impact resistance.

The color is integrated into the surface rather than applied as conventional paint. Under normal use, the finish is designed to maintain its appearance without naturally fading, unless subjected to significant abrasion or wear.

Green, Purple & Candy

These finishes are created through an anodic oxidation process.

By controlling the thickness of the oxide layer formed on the titanium surface, different colors are produced through the interaction of light with the oxide film. No conventional dyes are used.

In addition to creating distinctive colors, the oxide layer contributes to the surface hardness and corrosion resistance of the titanium.

Natural Titanium

Natural Titanium retains the clean metallic appearance of Grade 5 titanium alloy for a simple and understated finish.

Color & Finish Notes

Candy Finish

Due to the nature of the coloring process, the Candy finish features a naturally flowing and variable color pattern.

Color distribution may vary from piece to piece, making each finish slightly different.

White Marks on Threads

Some screws may have small white lines or marks around the threaded area.

These marks are normal electrical contact points created during the titanium coloring process, where the components are held and electrically connected for surface treatment.

They are not defects and do not affect the normal use or performance of the fasteners.
