This S-PARTS M6 x 38mm titanium fixing bolt is designed for the internal brake lever assembly / valve body on compatible Shimano XTR M9000, XTR M9020, and XT M8000 brake levers.

It is specifically intended for the internal lever-side assembly and is not a disc brake caliper body bolt. For proper installation, the original factory sealing ring must be used together with the bolt.

Strong and Lightweight Grade 5 Titanium

S-PARTS uses carefully selected Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V), the internationally recognized designation for the titanium alloy commonly referred to as TC4 in China.

Through long-term laboratory comparison and testing, S-PARTS selects titanium materials that meet its strict material standards. The selected material has an average tensile strength exceeding 1050 MPa, significantly above the commonly referenced minimum tensile strength of 895 MPa for this alloy.

Compared with conventional steel fasteners under comparable conditions, Grade 5 titanium provides an excellent strength-to-weight ratio while weighing approximately half as much as steel. This makes it particularly well suited to high-performance bicycle component upgrades where reducing unnecessary weight matters.

650°C Hot-Forging & Precision CNC Machining

For components requiring high forming precision, S-PARTS uses custom-designed forging dies and a controlled 650°C hot-forging process.

To maintain consistent machining accuracy, each custom forging die is used no more than 300 times before replacement.

The fastener body is then precision-machined using military-grade composite CNC equipment at the S-PARTS factory. A micron-level dimensional tolerance control system helps ensure clean threads, consistent dimensions, and reliable fitment.

Premium Titanium Surface Finishes

Gold, Rainbow, Black, and Blue

These finishes are produced using PVD vacuum nitriding, creating a dense surface layer that improves surface hardness and resistance to impact and wear.

The resulting finish provides rich, vibrant color and good surface durability under normal riding conditions.

Green, Purple, Candy, and Indigo

These finishes are produced through electrolytic anodizing, which forms a controlled oxide layer on the titanium surface to enhance surface hardness and corrosion resistance.

Unlike conventional painted finishes, the vivid colors are produced without adding dye. The visible color results from the relationship between oxide-layer thickness and light interference, creating the distinctive colors associated with anodized titanium.

Color Notes

Candy Color:
Due to the nature of the anodizing process, Candy-colored finishes have a highly dynamic and fluid appearance. Color distribution and tone are naturally random, so each piece may vary slightly.

White Lines on the Threads:
Some bolts may have white or light-colored lines on the threaded section. This is a normal result of the coloring process and does not affect normal use.

Installation Notes

• The original factory sealing ring must be used together with this bolt.
