Bolt Length Measurement
Different bolt head designs use different length measurement methods. Please measure your original bolt carefully before selecting a replacement.
Classic Cylindrical Head
For the Classic Cylindrical Head version, the stated length refers to the length of the bolt shank only.
The height of the bolt head is not included in the stated length.
All Countersunk Versions
For the Standard Solid Countersunk, Hollow Small-Diameter Countersunk, Hollow Standard-Diameter Countersunk, and SL Ultra-Light Countersunk versions, the stated length refers to the overall length of the bolt.
The measurement is taken from the top of the countersunk head to the end of the bolt, meaning the head is included in the stated length.
Grade 5 Titanium Construction
All S-PARTS headset top cap fixing bolts are made from Ti-6Al-4V titanium alloy, commonly known as Grade 5 titanium.
This material offers an excellent balance of:
- Lightweight performance
- High strength
- Corrosion resistance
- Fatigue resistance
The Classic Cylindrical Head versions use a solid, non-hollow construction and are designed for applications where strength is a priority.
The hollow and SL designs focus on reducing unnecessary weight, offering lightweight options for riders who pay close attention to every gram.
Available Colors
Choose from 9 finishes:
- Gold
- Rainbow
- Titanium
- Black
- Blue
- Green
- Purple
- Candy
- Indigo
PVD Vacuum Coating
The Gold, Rainbow, Black and Blue finishes use a PVD vacuum coating process.
A dense surface coating is formed on the titanium, helping improve surface hardness and resistance to everyday wear and impact while creating a rich metallic appearance.
The finish is integrated with the surface rather than applied as conventional paint, helping maintain its appearance under normal riding conditions.
Electrochemical Titanium Anodizing
The Green, Purple, Candy and Indigo finishes are produced through an electrochemical anodizing process.
During anodizing, a controlled oxide layer forms on the titanium surface. Different oxide-layer thicknesses interact with incident and reflected light, creating optical interference that produces different visible colors.
No conventional dyes or pigments are used to create these finishes.
The result is the distinctive metallic color effect unique to anodized titanium.
Candy Finish Variation
The Candy finish features naturally flowing and variable color transitions.
Because the color is created through oxide-layer thickness and optical interference, rather than conventional paint or dye, the exact color distribution may vary from one bolt to another.
Each piece may therefore have its own unique color pattern.
This natural variation is a normal characteristic of the Candy finish.
Light or White Marks on the Threads
Some colored bolts may show small light-colored or white marks around the threaded area.
These are normal electrical contact marks created during the coloring process. During electrochemical surface treatment, the bolt must make electrical contact with the fixture, and these contact points may not receive the same surface finish as the surrounding area.
These marks are not cracks, corrosion, or material damage and do not affect normal use.
