Designed for compatible saddle clamp assemblies on the Giant TCR Gen 10, Propel Gen 3/Gen 4, and Defy, these S-PARTS spherical washers are precision-made from high-strength Grade 5 titanium to provide a lightweight and durable upgrade for compatible saddle clamp hardware.

Grade 5 Titanium. High Strength, Low Weight.

S-PARTS works with a specialized metal-material supply chain serving the aerospace industry in Xi'an, China, with strict laboratory testing and material screening throughout production.

Our selected Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V) achieves an average tensile strength exceeding 1,050 MPa, well above the commonly referenced 895 MPa benchmark.

Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS Grade 5 titanium fasteners offer mechanical performance comparable to Class 10.9 steel hardware, while weighing approximately half as much as steel. This gives titanium an exceptional strength-to-weight ratio for performance-oriented bicycle hardware.

Precision Forged. Precision CNC Machined.

The component heads are formed using S-PARTS custom forging dies at approximately 650°C. To maintain consistent forming precision during high-temperature production, each stamping die is limited to no more than 300 cycles.

The components are then precision-machined in-house using advanced multi-axis CNC equipment. A micron-level dimensional control process helps maintain accurate geometry, clean threads and consistent component fit.

Two Surface Finishing Technologies

Gold / Rainbow / Black / Blue — Vacuum PVD Nitriding

These finishes are produced using a vacuum PVD nitriding process, forming a dense hardened surface layer that improves surface hardness and resistance to impact while creating a durable, vibrant finish.

Green / Purple / Candy / Indigo — Titanium Anodizing

These colors are produced through electrochemical anodizing, which forms a controlled oxide layer on the titanium surface. The color comes from light interference caused by the oxide layer's thickness and optical properties — no conventional dyes are used.

Natural Titanium retains the distinctive metallic appearance of the titanium surface for a clean, understated finish.

Lightweight Hardware for Performance Builds

At just 0.82–0.91 g per washer, these titanium spherical washers provide a lightweight alternative to conventional steel hardware while maintaining the strength and precision expected from performance-oriented bicycle components.

Combined with Grade 5 titanium, precision forming, CNC machining and carefully controlled surface finishing, they provide a subtle yet refined upgrade to the saddle clamp area.

Installation & Authenticity Note

Installation: Always install and tighten the saddle clamp hardware according to the torque specification marked on the original factory components or provided in the manufacturer's service instructions. Correct tightening torque is essential for safe and secure installation.
