High-Strength Grade 5 Titanium
This rear derailleur main pivot bolt is manufactured from carefully selected Ti-6Al-4V Grade 5 titanium, offering an excellent balance of high strength, low weight, and corrosion resistance.
Through long-term laboratory comparison and material testing, S-PARTS carefully selects titanium alloy materials that meet our internal performance requirements. The titanium material used for S-PARTS fasteners delivers an average tensile strength exceeding 1050 MPa, significantly above the commonly referenced industry benchmark of 895 MPa.
Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS Grade 5 titanium fasteners deliver mechanical performance comparable to Class 10.9 steel fasteners while weighing approximately half as much. This exceptional strength-to-weight ratio makes titanium an ideal material for lightweight performance upgrades.
Precision Hot-Forged and CNC-Machined
Every detail is engineered with precision.
The bolt head is hot-forged using dedicated S-PARTS tooling. To maintain consistent forming accuracy during high-temperature production at approximately 650°C, each stamping die is limited to no more than 300 production cycles.
The bolt body is then precision-machined using high-precision multi-axis CNC equipment. Tight, micron-level tolerance control helps ensure accurate dimensions, clean thread engagement, and consistent overall fit and finish.
Durable PVD Surface Finishes
Gold, Rainbow, Black and Blue feature a PVD vacuum nitriding surface treatment.
This process creates a dense protective surface layer that improves surface hardness and resistance to wear and impact. The finish delivers rich, durable color and is designed to withstand everyday riding conditions, including rain, dirt, and mud.
Electrochemical Anodized Colors
Green, Purple, Candy and Indigo are produced through an electrochemical anodizing process.
Different oxide film thicknesses formed on the titanium surface interact with light to create vivid colors through optical interference. No conventional dye is used in the coloring process.
Beyond their distinctive appearance, these anodized finishes also retain the excellent corrosion resistance associated with titanium.
About the Candy Finish
Due to the nature of the coloring process, the Candy finish features naturally flowing and variable color transitions.
Color distribution and pattern will vary from piece to piece, giving each bolt a unique appearance. This natural variation is part of the finish and is not considered a defect.
Thread Finish Notice
Slight uncolored or bright lines on the thread section are a natural result of the anodizing and coloring suspension process.
This is a normal cosmetic characteristic and does not affect thread strength, material properties, or installation.
