Grade 5 Titanium. Strength Without the Extra Weight.
S-PARTS works with a metal raw-material supply chain associated with the Xi'an civil aerospace industry, while maintaining strict material selection standards for its titanium fasteners.
The material used is Grade 5 Titanium (Ti-6Al-4V). Through long-term laboratory comparison and testing, S-PARTS titanium fasteners have achieved an average tensile strength of over 1050 MPa, exceeding the stated industry standard of ≥895 MPa.
Under comparable conditions, S-PARTS Grade 5 Titanium fasteners offer overall mechanical performance comparable to 10.9-grade steel components, while weighing approximately half as much. This gives the component a high strength-to-weight ratio without adding unnecessary mass.
Precision Starts With the Forging Process
The lockring head is formed using S-PARTS custom-designed tooling and hot forging at approximately 650°C. To maintain processing accuracy, each stamping die is used for no more than 300 cycles.
The lockring body is then precision machined at the S-PARTS factory using military-industry-grade precision CNC equipment, supported by a micron-level dimensional tolerance control system.
From forming to CNC machining, these processes are designed to maintain consistent dimensions and precise threading, giving the finished lockring the fit and finish expected from a carefully engineered component.
Titanium Color, Without Compromise
Choose from Gold, Rainbow, Raw Titanium, Black, Blue, Green, Purple, Candy, Indigo, and Copper.
PVD Vacuum Nitriding Finishes
Gold / Rainbow / Black / Blue
These finishes are produced using a PVD vacuum nitriding coating process, forming a dense nitrided metal layer on the surface. This process increases surface hardness and impact resistance while creating a vivid, durable finish.
The finish is formed through the coating process rather than conventional paint, providing a distinctive titanium appearance designed for everyday riding conditions.
Anodized Titanium Finishes
Green / Purple / Candy
These colors are produced through anodic oxidation. During the process, an oxide layer forms on the titanium surface. The thickness of this layer interacts with light to create different colors through optical interference, without the use of dye.
Candy has a naturally fluid and variable appearance because of the coloring process. The final color pattern may vary from piece to piece.
Some parts may show fine white lines around the threaded area. This is a normal characteristic produced during the coloring process and does not affect normal use.
Raw Titanium / Indigo / Copper
Raw Titanium, Indigo, and Copper are available as additional color options.
The specific finishing process for these three colors is not specified in the current product information, so no additional coating or anodizing claims are made for these finishes.
Made for the Details You Notice
A cassette lockring is a small component, but on a carefully built bicycle, the details matter. S-PARTS combines Grade 5 titanium, controlled manufacturing processes, low weight, and a range of finishes to give your drivetrain a more refined appearance without unnecessary mass.
Installation
Use PARK TOOL FR-5.2, SHIMANO LR 15, or another compatible cassette lockring tool for installation.
Recommended tightening torque: 40 Nm.
Before ordering, verify your freehub standard, cassette speed, and required lockring specification. Compatibility can vary between drivetrain configurations, particularly with some 12-speed road systems.
