Grade 5 Titanium

S-PARTS uses high-quality Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V) titanium. It is strong, corrosion resistant and difficult to machine, and is commonly used in aerospace and top-level racing such as F1 and MotoGP.

Bolt heads are forged at 650°C in custom dies with the S-PARTS logo. Each die is used no more than 300 times to keep the Torx recess precise and strong.

Lighter and Stronger

Under the same conditions, S-PARTS Grade 5 titanium fasteners match the mechanical performance of Class 10.9 steel parts at only about half the weight, with a strength-to-weight ratio ordinary metals can't match.

Surface Finishes

  • PVD Vacuum Nitriding – Gold, Blue and Black: A dense metal nitride coating improves surface hardness and impact resistance. The color runs deep into the surface and is designed to hold up in normal riding, including rain and mud. Heavy abrasion can wear the coating.
  • Anodizing – Green, Purple, Candy and Indigo: An oxide layer on the titanium surface improves surface hardness and corrosion resistance. Color comes from light interference within the oxide layer, with no dyes used.

Candy Finish Notice

Due to the coloring process, Candy finishes have a flowing appearance with naturally variable color patterns. White lines may appear around the threads of some bolts as a normal result of the finishing process and do not affect use.
