A 3D-printed titanium direct-mount derailleur hanger for selected Specialized and S-Works disc-brake frames.

Designed around the balance between structure and weight, the S-PARTS 3DAM derailleur hanger uses 3D additive manufacturing, simulation-based structural optimization and real-world riding tests to develop the outer shell and internal reinforcement structure.

Shimano Rear Derailleur Compatibility

The compatibility chart also supports Shimano rear derailleurs with the Shadow-type design and extended mounting tab.

3D-Printed Titanium Structure

Traditional aluminum derailleur hangers can be difficult to balance between structural strength and weight. The S-PARTS 3DAM design takes a different approach.

3D additive manufacturing provides greater freedom to create internal structures and distribute material around different load areas. Using simulation-based structural analysis, the wall thickness and reinforcement structure are refined through multiple rounds of simulation and real-world riding tests.

The result is an outer shell with internal reinforcement ribs, designed to provide the required structural support without simply adding material for strength or removing material solely to chase lower weight.

Vacuum Nitriding & Layered Anodizing

The 3DAM derailleur hanger uses a vacuum nitriding process.

Its colored finishes are created through layered anodizing, giving the titanium surface a range of distinctive colors and patterns.

Candy Finish

Due to the coloring process, the Candy finish has a fluid and varied appearance. The color pattern can be relatively random, so the appearance of each piece may vary.
